Descended from the Arabana, Yawuru and Marridjabin people, Nathan grew up in Darwin. While attending Clontarf Foundation’s Palmerston Academy in 2011, he received life-changing advice from visiting President Barrack Obama: “You can do and be whoever you want to be”. These words inspired the young musician to follow his dreams. Now based in Adelaide, Nathan shares his blend of folk and country music with both urban and remote audiences. His mentoring work and school holiday music programs for kids in Marree, Coober Pedy and Oodnadatta earned him an SA Governor’s Aboriginal Young Achiever Award in 2019. Nathan is using his grant to record an album, which he hopes to perform at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
